Springfields new “Dish to Dirt Food Scraps Recycling Program” is now underway.

Up to 1000 participants will be able to drop off food waste items for free at any of the city’s three recycling drop off facilities.

The food scraps will then be sent to the Yardwaste Recycling Center which will converted the food waste into nutrient-rich compost.
